A partnership with Standard Bank, the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID), Kilimo Trust, Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) and Millennium Development Authority (MiDA) has created The Agricultural Guarantee Fund Scheme. The fund is operating in Ghana, Mozambique, Tanzania and Uganda and aims to reach +-750 000 small farmers and Small/Medium sized Enterprises. This partnership is the largest single financing facility targeting smallholder agriculture by a bank in Africa.

The AGRF promotes investments and policy support for driving agricultural productivity and income growth for African farmers in an environmentally sustainable way. The Forum is a private-sector led initiative which will bring together African heads of state, ministers, farmers, private agribusiness firms, financial institutions, NGOs, civil society and scientists, to discuss and develop concrete investment plans for achieving the green revolution in Africa.

The Forum was chaired by Kofi A. Annan and was hosted by H.E. John Atta Mills, President of Ghana and the Government of Ghana in September 2010 in Accra.
